As of the time of this writing, it's the 23rd of December in the Lunar Calendar, and the new year—the Year of the Wooden Snake—is fast approaching. It's the time for us to look back and plan for the new year.
So, what have we done this year:
We released the Sofle Hybrid and the Sofle GLP, which have become our best-selling boards of the year.
- We worked with the manufacturers of the metal pieces to bring out better products (e.g., better and more uniform surface finishes for metal plates and smoother finishes for anodized cases). We will continue to improve upon this to deliver the highest-quality keyboards.
- We brought in some help in the communication department. This greatly reduced the main communicator's workload (who also happens to be the owner, Hai), improving customer satisfaction.
- We significantly improved our processes. Orders can now be shipped faster than before. According to our metrics, orders are now processed 30% faster on average. This will undoubtedly improve further next year.
And what are our plans for the next year?
- We will release some new products this year—some practical, others ridiculously over-the-top and expensive. Let's wait and see.
- We will introduce some automation tools to reduce the staff's workload. This will further reduce shipping times. Automated testing will also be implemented, making the quality of our PCBs more uniform.
- A Discord channel will be launched, giving you a more direct line of communication with us. We've been hesitant about this in the past since we were severely understaffed in the communication department. (We're not in an English-speaking country, so finding someone fluent in English and knowledgeable and passionate about ergonomic keyboards has been challenging.) Now that we have some help, we think it's time to open it.
- Of course, we will continue to improve upon our current products and processes to make them better.
